about kris brodie

I'm Kris Brodie, a family photographer based in Oxford County, Ontario. Photography has been a passion of mine since 2018, and I love the way it allows me to connect with the world around me.

My work blends the documentary feel of candid storytelling with the emotional depth and artistry of classic portraiture. I capture families, newborns, and life’s special events with a focus on connection, emotion, and natural interactions — not forced poses. Whether it’s the quiet wonder of newborn moments, the playful joy between siblings, or heartfelt family gatherings, every image highlights real personalities and genuine relationships.

I mix 35 mm film into my photography to create images with a timeless, organic feel. Film brings rich, nuanced tones, natural grain, and subtle depth that digital alone can’t replicate. It captures light and shadow in a way that feels warm, emotive, and beautifully imperfect, giving each photograph a nostalgic, enduring quality that enhances the story of real moments and genuine connections. Whether it’s a playful session on location or a cozy at-home shoot, I strive to make every experience relaxed, fun, and full of memories.
